Last updated: 2026-03-26. These terms govern the use of SN Assistant as a browser extension and related product materials.
SN Assistant is an assistive developer tool. It helps users explain, refactor, comment, ask questions about, and document ServiceNow code and changes.
The current public release is intended to be a free browser extension where users configure their own provider, endpoint, or local model.
It is not:
- legal advice
- compliance certification
- a substitute for testing
- a substitute for peer review
- a guaranteed source of truth
Users remain responsible for:
- reviewing generated output
- validating ServiceNow changes before deployment
- protecting confidential data
- selecting and managing any external AI provider accounts they use
- paying any fees charged by those external providers
SN Assistant can connect to third-party AI services and custom endpoints selected by the user.
Those services are not controlled by SN Assistant. Their availability, pricing, data handling, and output quality are governed by their own terms.
Users must not use SN Assistant in ways that:
- violate law or regulation
- violate ServiceNow, customer, or employer obligations
- abuse third-party services
- intentionally process data they are not authorized to handle
SN Assistant is provided on an as is and as available basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- outputs are always correct
- outputs are complete
- outputs are suitable for production without review
- the extension will always be available or error-free
To the maximum extent allowed by law, SN Assistant and its publisher are not liable for losses resulting from:
- reliance on generated output without review
- deployment of incorrect or unsafe changes
- third-party provider outages or behavior
- user configuration errors
The extension source code and product materials remain subject to the repository license and any additional rights reserved by the publisher.
Use of third-party providers, platforms, or open source dependencies does not transfer ownership of SN Assistant branding or product materials.
Support is currently provided on a best-effort basis through the published support channels. No formal SLA is promised unless a future paid plan explicitly includes one.
If SN Assistant introduces paid subscriptions or commercial plans, additional commercial terms, billing terms, refund policies, and hosted-service terms may apply.
These terms may be updated over time as the product evolves. The latest published version should be considered the current version.
